Mezzanine is owned by Todd Johnson. His concept is simple: bring fresh, local ingredients to the table daily.

Todd does his best to bring the freshest ingredients from local farms, rivers, and oceans straight to the table. Everyday he networks with local farmers and fishermen to develop important relationships in order to bring, you the customer, the best ingredients Virginia has to offer.

Todd believes that we are in an era where sustainable living is not only a fad, but a necessity. Every individual should take pride in supporting local farmers, fishermen, businesses, etc.

Mezzanine is a smoke-free environment, with a covered patio and a diverse menu. Our chefs are capable of accommodating all dietary needs.

Our suppliers are leaders in the local grown farm to consumer food movement here in the Richmond area. 

We have developed relationships going back years that ensure mezzanine has the freshest in season foods available cultivated with the greatest care and respect for both the consumer and the land.

Our meats are raised in the most natural way possible and are pasture pure. Fruits and vegetables are grown by farmers using sustainable methods who are good stewards of the land and who recognize that the health of their soil underlies everything that they do.

Come and get them while they last! Soft shell crabs served with Manakintowne greens, mandarin oranges, and a chili mint vinaigrette! We will also be serving a whole red snapper, complete with brown rice and Asian vegetables!
